DAWN in Person Training 2024 is here!

We are excited to welcome you to the DAWN In-Person Training 2024. This in-person encounter is the final component of a series of virtual trainings focused on our analytical framework on the Political Economy of Conflict (PEC) and Violence Against Women (VAW) in the global South.

The concluding session of this series, to be held in Accra, Ghana, from 26 to 28 October, will focus on the impact of the global and regional economic and debt crises on women.

This training programme aims to collectively build knowledge and analysis, drawing from the everyday experiences of participants.

The goal is to introduce participants to methods for reading, mapping, and understanding gender-based violence, including during conflict and transitions from conflict, through the lens of feminist political economy. Special emphasis will be placed on the ongoing economic and debt crises affecting the global South, with a particular focus on Africa.

The programme includes nine sessions with group work, a field trip, and homework, providing participants with tools for their day-to-day work and future strategies.

Certificates of participation will be awarded upon completion of the training.

We hope you will join us for this empowering feminist encounter!
