EAST LONDON-In a city where gender-based violence(GBV)and inequality have long been a challenge, a new program is using the power of soccer to drive change.

The Ibhola Ekhatywayo Ngamantombazana grassroots soccer program, launched by Masimanyane Women's Rights International (MWRI) on 11 September 2024 in East London International Convention Centre (ICC) is empowering young women and girls in East London to take control of their lives and their future.


By providing a safe space for girls in to play soccer, the program is not only promoting physical health and well-being but also challenging...
