The Eastern Cape has been in the spotlight during the past few years with the most horrific GBV cases. The provincial government is holding a two-day Gender-Based Violence & Femicide Summit. Traditional and religious leaders, the Eastern Cape Moral Regeneration Movement, Non-Governmental Organisations, Men for Change, political leaders and civil society formations will be part of the summit. The summit will discuss and identify strategies on strengthening the overall response to GBVF and prevention in the Eastern Cape.
