The goal of the Masimanyane Ibhola Ekhatywayo Ngamantombazana Grassroots Ladies Soccer Development is to contribute towards the prevention of GBVF and the building of social cohesion by using girls’ soccer to create safe spaces for healthy and purposeful participation.
This project will target both girls and boys in its implementation and will be intentional in how and where it recruits participants.
With high levels of GBVF, Buffalo City is an ideal City to pilot this project. It is the only urban metropolitan City in South Africa that also have rural villages, making it unique in this sense.
The establishment of a girls’ soccer project aimed at participating in league matches will serve as an intentional healing incubator for young stars of all genders and orientations.
