[watch] 'Violence against women is widespread in the Eastern Cape': Dr Lesley Ann Foster


Women from Phunzana village, just outside Qonce in the Eastern Cape, say they live in fear due to the rampant violence and housebreaking that women-headed households endure in the area. The women say criminals target them due to their perceived vulnerability. They also complain about the police's slow response during emergencies.
